The Conference of Metallurgists, one of the world’s most important mining events, is sponsored by the Canadian Mining, Metallurgy and Oil Institute and will take place in Winnipeg. The conference, which was last held in 1987, will play host to a range of industry leaders and cover various issues concerning the sector’s future. Issues to be discussed include the economy, the consequences of industry consolidation, the development of new products and technologies, the environment, improvement of performance methods and health issues. |
