Russia’s RUSAL opens head trade office in Switzerland

MOSCOW, Oct 1 (Prime-Tass) — United Company RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminum producer, announced Monday the opening of its head trade office in the Swiss city of Zug.

The office, called RUSAL Marketing, will integrate the company’s trade operations across European, Asian and American markets, offering customers primary aluminum, alloys, alumina and silicon.

United Company RUSAL was formed in March through the merger of Russian aluminum majors RUSAL and SUAL and the alumina assets of Swiss commodities trader Glencore.

United Company RUSAL controls four bauxite mines, 10 alumina refineries, 14 aluminum smelters and three foil mills.
