Novelis Reports Results for Fourth Quarter and Fiscal Year 2009

Novelis Inc., a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries Limited, today reported pre-tax income of $67 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009, which ended on March 31, 2009. This compares to pre-tax income of $117 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008. Alcoa Expands Position in Oil and Gas Market

Hydro adjusts to slower building market

Although activity in the building industry in Europe remains relatively stable, in the midst of the global economic crisis, Hydro has made adjustments in its aluminium building systems operations that will result in annualized cost savings of more than EUR 5 million.
