UC Rusal:Record Output At Krasnoyarsk Aluminum Smelter In Oct

MOSCOW (Dow Jones)-UC Rusal produced at its Krasnoyarsk aluminum smelter in October a record monthly amount of primary aluminum in the smelter’s entire history, 85,400 metric tons, 4.76% more than in October 2006, UC Rusal announced Thursday.

UC Rusal also said in January-October the smelter increased its aluminum alloys output by 37% on the year to 184,994 tons.

UC Rusal is carrying out a modernization program at the Krasnoyarsk smelter, with investment in 2004–2008 to total $200 million.
