SHANGHAI (Dow Jones)-Aluminum Corp. of China said it will invest CNY3.7 billion ($519.87 million) to build an aluminum foil plant in Sichuan province with an annual production capacity of 100,000 metric tons.

The company, better known as Chinalco, said on its Web site Tuesday the project in Chengdu city will become the biggest double zero aluminum foil plant in Asia.

Chinalco didn’t say when the project will come onstream.

Chinalco is the parent company of Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd. (ACH), or Chalco.
