Nalco 07–08 Aluminum Output 359,213 Tons Vs 358,734 Tons

MUMBAI (Dow Jones)-India’s state-run National Aluminium Co. (532234.BY) said Wednesday it produced 359,213 metric tons of aluminum during the financial year ended March, up from 358,734 tons in the previous year.

The company also produced 1.6 million tons of alumina hydrate during the year ended March, up from 1.5 million tons.

It said it also saw a rise in its metal sales to 358,878 tons during the year, up 3.13% from the target of 348,000 tons set by the Ministry of Mines.

The export revenue from primary aluminum was $270.46 million, against the previous figure of $247.05 million in 2006-07.
