NEW DELHI (Dow Jones)-India’s state-run National Aluminium Co. Ltd. (532234.BY) plans to establish an alumina smelter in S. Africa and another in Indonesia, a senior company executive said Thursday.

"We will transport exportable surplus of alumina to these countries and sell the finished products," Director-Finance B. L. Bagra said.

Nalco is already undertaking a feasibility study to establish a smelter in Indonesia; a report will likely be ready in two weeks, he added.
