DJ Chalco Plant To Add 900,000 Tons Alumina Capacity — Xinhua

SHANGHAI (Dow Jones)-Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd.'s (ACH) Pingguo plant in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region will add 900,000 metric tons of alumina output capacity within three months, the official Xinhua News Agency said Thursday.

The Pingguo plant’s annual production capacity will now increase to 1.8 million tons, Xinhua said on its Web site, citing the official Guangxi Daily newspaper.

The plant, which mines China’s best bauxite resources, is located in the bauxite-rich Guangxi region in southern China.
