According to UBS AG, aluminum prices may rise 12 percent next year as the higher cost of coal makes production more expensive. It forces smaller plants to close. Glyn Lawcock, analyst of UBS AG, said that there may be an annual aluminum deficit of 200,000 metric tons for both this year and next year and prices may average $3,525 a ton in 2009. | |||
