Rio Tinto notes that Aluminum Corporation of China (Chinalco) has received approval from the German Federal Cartel Office for Chinalco’s proposal to enter into a strategic partnership with Rio Tinto, as announced on 12 February 2009. Receipt of this, and other regulatory clearances, is a condition to the strategic partnership with Chinalco. | |||
