20 November NEW YORK, Press Release	Alcoa to Idle Smelting Operations in Italy While Appealing EC Ruling on Energy Tariff Alcoa announced it will temporarily idle production at its two aluminum smelters in Fusina and Portovesme, Italy. The curtailment is a result of uncertainty in obtaining future power supply for the smelters at competitive rates and the financial impact of today’s European Commission (EC) decision that Italy’s extension of the existing electricity tariff after 2005 did not comply with European Union (EU) state aid rules and that a portion of the benefit received by Alcoa must be refunded. Alcoa is appealing the decision.

12 November OSLO, Press Release	Hydro opens recycling center at Alunorf plant Hydro, Europe’s leading aluminium company, today opened a new 50,000-tonne remelting facility at the Alunorf plant in Neuss, Germany. This brings Hydro’s total recycling capacity in Germany to 150,000 tonnes of high-quality aluminium and helps to reduce carbon emissions.
10 November FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., USA, Press Release	Kaiser Aluminum Corporation Reports Third Quarter and Year-to-Date 2009 Financial Results Kaiser Aluminum Corporation on October 28 reported net income of $23 million and earnings per diluted share of $1.14 for the third quarter ended September 30, 2009. Excluding the positive impact of approximately $30 million of pre-tax, non-run-rate items, adjusted net income was $5.5 million and earnings per diluted share were $0.27 for the third quarter ended September 30, 2009.

3 November ATLANTA, Press Release	Novelis Reports Higher Net Income for Second Fiscal Quarter on Improved Sales Across All Geographic Regions Novelis Inc., the world’s leading producer of aluminum rolled products, today reported net income attributable to its common shareholder of $195 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2010 ended September 30, 2009, a 36 percent increase over net income of $143 million reported for the immediately preceding first fiscal quarter. Second quarter net income for the current year compares to a net loss of $104 million reported for the same period a year ago.
3 November MOSCOW, Press Release	RUSAL and FGC UES sign an agreement to ensure safe operations of the Siberian energy network UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium and alumina producer, and the Russian Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System (FGC UES) announced the signing of an agreement to ensure safe operations of the energy network in Siberia when the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP is decommissioned.
2 November MOSCOW, Press Release	UC RUSAL and NORINCO sign a contract for aluminium delivery UC RUSAL, the world’s largest producer of aluminium and alumina, and China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO), one of China’s largest diversified corporations, announced the signing of a contract for aluminium delivery. Under the contract, UC RUSAL will supply 1,680,000 tonnes of its aluminium to NORINCO between 2010 and 2016.
2 November MOSCOW, Press Release	RUSAL announces new executive appointments in its Alumina Division UC RUSAL, the world’s largest producer of aluminium and alumina, announced the appointment of Andrey Pikhtovnikov, former head of the ‘East’ Production Department of the Alumina Division, as the new managing director of the Achinsk Alumina Complex. Yuri Ovchinnikov, its current managing director, has been appointed the managing director of the Nikolaev Alumina Refinery.
